What is the sign-up process?

Complete the boot camp registration form on this site and submit it electronically. You will then be able to pay online with a credit card or electronic check. You may purchase either an unlimited boot camp for $199 which will allow you to attend as many classes during the current session that you desire or you may purchase individual classes at $20 each (individual classes expire at the end of the session). Once your payment has been received, you may schedule your initial body composition evaluation (but only after available time slots have been posted by the boot camp coaches).

What if camp has already started? Can I still join in?

It depends on how far along the current camp session is. Each camp session is 4 weeks long and the investment of $199 offers unlimited classes Monday thru Saturday. Currently there are over 56 classes held during every 4 week session. A full session is considered to be 10 or more classes.

If there are MORE THAN 2 WEEKS LEFT in the current session (check the schedule for your location) and you are able to attend at least 10 classes before the end of the current session, then making the investment of $199 makes sense.

If there are LESS THAN 2 WEEKS LEFT in the current session and you are unable to attend at least 10 classes prior to the current session ending, then purchasing individual classes at $20 per class will likely be a better option. NOTE: All individual class purchases will expire at the end of the current session.

To join in the current camp session: Just complete your registration form and then purchase your unlimited boot camp or individual classes through PayPal. After you've completed this process, you may simply show up for camp. Just be sure to check in with the instructor before the class begins. I have a crazy schedule and can only attend a few times per week? Can I purchase individual classes?

Yes, individual classes can be purchased for $20 per class. However, individual classes are provided to those who have limited time to attend camp and must be used within the camp session in which they are purchased.

Coming to boot camp once or twice per week does have some value... But we view fitness not as a sometime thing, but as a lifelong commitment. We expect the same from our campers. With that in mind, individual classes should be used only as a temporary band aid, rather than a permanent solution. You will find more value, benefit, and flexibility with our $199 unlimited boot camp package.

What is the evaluation about?

The evaluation is very simple and takes only 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Evaluations are typically conducted 1 or 2 days prior to the start of camp or during the first few days. It is not essential that you have your evaluation done before beginning camp. Evaluations may occur after class or in the evening of the first day.

The evaluation includes the following:

  1. An introduction to Austin Adventure Boot Camp and answers to any questions you may have.
  2. A review of your medical history.
  3. A quick body assessment (weight, body fat analysis, and circumference measurements) to see "where you are" prior to beginning camp. We don't care what the measurements show -- it is strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information are strictly confidential.

What kind of people go to camp?

People just like you! Some of our boot campers just need to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some are tired of the same out routine and are looking for a new challenge and refreshing way to stay fit. Most of our campers have some history of exercise, but it's not required. We make the program just right for your ability level. Remember, ALL FITNESS LEVELS ARE ACCEPTED and ENCOURAGED!

What if my friend wants to come to camp with me for a day?

Great! We would love to have them join us! Just have your friend fill out the FREE class request form. Friends are welcome to pop in for a day and try out the program.



How many people are in each camp?

This number varies from 15-30. Our 5:30 am camp is our most popular and usually has about 25. The other camps typically have about 12-20.

What is a typical day like at boot camp?

We don't have typical days -- if you want the same routine day after day, then you would probably want to join a fitness center. You can expect a mixture of cardio exercises, some running (less than a mile), weight-training, mat work, jumping rope, and sports-related games. Each day is designed to be fun and different, but never boring!

What if I don't/can't run?

Running is a great cardio exercise, but we will never force you to run. However, we do expect you to keep moving! We encourage you to power walk to build up your stamina. Soon enough you'll be jogging and then. running.

What if I've never lifted weights before?

That's fine. If you are just beginning your workout regimen, we recommend that you start with 3 or 5 pound dumbbells (for women; men should start with 8 pound weights).

We'll be doing multiple repetitions, so don't worry about bringing super heavy weights. If at any point you find the exercises easy, consult your trainer and see if increasing your weights would be appropriate.

Will I be sore?

Many boot campers feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that, it is slight to moderate. It's all part of the process of improving your physical condition!

How soon will I see results?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as 3 days. Visual improvement can take from 2 to 4 weeks depending on your effort level. It's not uncommon to see as much as 2-5 pounds of weight loss after the first week (if you continue to eat healthy -- be sure to follow our Fat Burner Nutrition Tracker or join My Food Diary.com for only $9 per month).

Note: Every individual is different and will experience different results when participating in Austin Adventure Boot Camp. If you want to lose weight and are under 18, pregnant, nursing, following a diet recommended by a doctor, have health problems or want to lose more than 30 pounds, see a doctor before starting Austin Adventure Boot Camp.

What if there is not a camp near me?

Over the last two years we have opened several different camp sites. We're always looking for locations and times that are convenient to our campers. We need at least 10 committed campers to open a location (site must not be close to an existing location). We base our locations solely on demand; so if you don't see it on the map, contact us and let us know where to put a new camp!

Please note that some sites may require additional work (i.e. paperwork, scheduling, staffing, etc) that must be completed before we can launch a new location. Unfortunately, we cannot open a camp overnight. We thank you in advance for your patience.

What happens if it rains?

We are continually monitoring the weather and will post the location of our next camp session on our website when inclement weather is forecasted. It will be your responsibility to check the website to verify the location. If you are still uncertain about the status and/or location of camp due to inclement weather, please call 1-877-801-8171.

What will I do after boot camp is over?

You will get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Final evaluations take 5-10 minutes to complete. Many (over 50%) of the campers return for a second or third camp or become lifetime campers!

Is there a refund policy?

There are absolutely NO refunds. When you signed up for camp, you made a commitment to yourself. You committed to a fit and healthy lifestyle. We will accept no excuses for failing to fulfill your commitment to yourself.
