| DO... |
DON'T... |
Eat the foods exactly as they have been prescribed on your nutrition plan. |
Modify your nutrition plan. If you need to make a change, please email us. |
Have one cheat meal a week, but only if you have been following your diet exactly. Your cheat meal should consist of healthy food portions. |
Have a daily cheat meal or a weekly cheat "day." You can undo a week of healthy eating by overindulging in unhealthy foods. |
Measure your food to ensure that you are eating the correct portion size. You will need a food scale and measuring cups and spoons. |
"Wing it" or "eyeball" your portion sizes. Accuracy is essential to meeting your weight-loss goals. |
Drink plenty of water daily -- consuming 1 gallon of water is ideal. |
Load up on sodas (diet or regular), coffee, and sugar-laden juices in place of pure H2O (water). These items can add unwanted calories to your meals. |
Eat fresh, organic RAW fruits and vegetables. |
Eat fruits and vegetables from a can. If you cannot eat fresh, then choose frozen items over canned. |
Use natural sweeteners like Stevia Extract and Xylitol. |
Add sugar or sugar substitutes (Equal, Sweet 'N Low, Splenda, etc) to your food. Sugar will add additional calories to your meals, and the safety of sugar substitutes is still questionable. |
Add calorie-free, sodium-free, and MSG-free seasoning to your meals. Suggested seasonings include:
Mrs. Dash (Original, Southwest Chipotle, Extra Spicy, Lemon Pepper, Garlic & Herb, Tomato Basil Garlic)
Crushed red pepper
Garlic powder (not garlic salt)
Chili powder
Oregano, Rosemary, Parsley, etc
Cinnamon
Nutmeg |
Add condiments, such as ketchup, mayonaise, etc to meals as they will add increase your caloric intake.
Add extra sodium/salt to your food. Additional sodium may cause you to retain water. |
